Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Lansing, MI is accepting applications for a Preschool Associate Teacher for the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) 2025-2026 school year., Monday through Friday from 8am to 3:30pm.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A Child Development Associate Credential (CDA); or An Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with preschool-age children. STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES: Will instruct 4-year-olds in a preschool setting. Will be working with an at-risk population; students must qualify for the program. Will be responsible for assisting with recruitment and outreach. Will be required to do home visits and provide once a month parent nights. Will help conduct Parent-Teacher conferences. Will attend annual Early Childhood Conferences. Will be required to take anecdotal records, enter them into an assessment program and use them to develop instructional strategies for children. Will be required to implement curriculum with fidelity and use assessment data to drive instruction Participation in professional development sessions as required by the program and grant Will participate with their team in a positive professional manner as they implement a team-teaching model Will help develop a consistent daily routine and safe environment that supports all learners Participation and engagement in building committees and district initiatives Implementation of all grant requirements as described by MDE Ensure all licensing protocols are being followed Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professional attitude at all times Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds (preschool children) Preferred applicant should be Catholic who is excited to share his or her faith with children in both knowledge and deed
