We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to support the implementation of a developmentally appropriate program that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, in alignment with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the supervision and daily classroom functions for a group of children
  
  
• Follow all local, state, and Primrose health and safety guidelines
  
  
• Assist in implementing approved lesson plans and classroom schedules
  
  
• Maintain an organized, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment
  
  
• Reinforce positive behaviors and set clear expectations for children
  
  
• Perform light housekeeping and ensure cleanliness of classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds
  
  
• Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with school standards
  
  
• Assist in other duties as assigned by the Director or designee
  
  

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program preferred
  
  
• Understanding of the social, emotional, and developmental needs of young children
  
  
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs for child care, safety, and emergency needs
  
  
• For Infant and Young Toddler teachers: ability to safely lift infants in and out of cribs
