We are seeking a compassionate, attentive, and dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our Waldorf early childhood classroom. The ideal candidate is inspired by Waldorf education, enjoys working with young children, and is eager to support a nurturing, rhythmic, and imaginative learning environment.

*Responsibilities:* * Support the lead teacher in maintaining a warm, safe, and consistent classroom environment rooted in Waldorf principles * Help guide children through daily rhythms, including outdoor play, circle time, storytelling, creative play, and mealtimes * Model respectful behavior and gentle discipline, fostering a sense of wonder, and cooperation * Assist with preparation and clean-up of classroom materials and activities * Maintain a tidy and aesthetically pleasing classroom, aligned with Waldorf values * Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings * Must be open to working with a mentor and willing to take direction well. * Must love outdoors and going outside in all weather, year round. * Must maintain strict safety standards and licensing requirements at all times. * Must have very keen senses and awareness * Must be agile and able to get up and down off the floor easily and carry 30 lbs if needed.

*Qualifications:* * Experience working with young children, preferably in a Waldorf or similar early childhood setting * Interest in or knowledge of Waldorf education and child development * Ability to work collaboratively with the lead teacher and colleagues * Patient, reliable, and committed to fostering a nurturing, rhythmical environment * Must be introspective and willing to do inner work * CPR/First Aid certification and background check required * Previous knowledge of working in a licensed childcare environment

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
