MX or MC Endorsement Must be Highly Qualified State of Michigan Teaching Certificate Required Ability to demonstrate and communicate a passion for working with children. Ability to demonstrate and communicate a passion and value for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Have the ability to demonstrate and communicate a strong knowledge of effective pedagogy that aligns with the Montessori program. Ability to communicate and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and professionally with our faculty and administrative colleagues. Participate in professional development. Engage with parents, families, and community members.
Responsibilities: • Facilitate learning for 5th & 6th Grade students. • Create learning plans for all students that ensure grade-level learning is taking place. • Monitor progress for all students' learning and developmental goals. • Facilitate Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports for the students in the classroom. • Participate in professional development. • Engage with parents, families, and community members.
