Location: Hilliard, OH Responsibilities: Identify students in need of Adaptive Physical Education services. Evaluate motor and physical development abilities as part of an evaluation team. Write and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for qualifying students. Attend and participate in IEP meetings as required. Collaborate with special education, regular education, and physical education teachers to develop appropriate adaptive programs. Provide instruction that aligns with individual student needs in motor skills and physical performance. Adapt existing physical education curricula to ensure accessibility for all students. Offer in-service training to school personnel and community members on adaptive physical education. Consult with students, parents, and educational staff regarding adaptive physical education strategies and programs. Maintain clear communication with building instructors and administrative staff to support student success. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Special Education. Qualifications: Valid Ohio Special Education Teachers Certificate for Adaptive Physical Education. Experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting. Strong assessment and IEP development skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team. Knowledge of best practices in adaptive physical education.
