Job Title: PDO Teacher

Job Class: Part-time

Salary Type: Hourly

Reports to: Divisional Principal Lower School

SUMMARY:
The teacher creates a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall
care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team
environment. Implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the
children and their parents.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote and advocate for the school and district mission and vision statements
- Support the school's culture and practices for inclusion
- Conduct all work activities in a professional manner
- Demonstrate commitment to working in a diverse school community and/or work environment
- Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
- A heart for the local church, a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion to help others
find and follow Jesus
- High School diploma or GED
- Highly energized and motivated individual with strong initiative
- Ability to work well with others (including student, teachers, staff and parents)
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
- An understanding of child development
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience (preferred)
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
- Additional training within the Early Childhood field (preferred)
