Position Overview: The Just for Girls Elementary Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing quality lessons to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth in students. This role involves developing lesson plans that meet state learning standards and additional specific learning standards by grade and developing and maintaining relationships within our community, collaborators, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Professional expertise, assessment preparation, student evaluation, classroom management, enrichment programs, communication and community engagement. Qualifications: Required state teaching certification and any other applicable credentialing requirements, including ESOL certification. Ability to work as a team or independently. Effective communication skills. Ability and experience to engage the interest of school-age girls. Ability to work with diverse children, including those with special needs. Ability to work well with parents or guardians. Ability to evaluate tests and measurements of achievement. Willingness to be held accountable for student results. Must have a clear Level II background check and 3 personal and professional references. Ability to lift approximately 20 pounds. Education and Experience: Undergraduate major or minor or graduate degree in elementary education or related field. Teaching experience in a public or private school, preferably in an urban setting. Employment Type: Full Time- 10 months (August- May) Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience and annualized.
