The Lawrenceville School announces an opening for a Part-Time French teacher. We are seeking an enthusiastic, collegial individual who wants to work with other highly motivated faculty and students in a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive boarding school environment. The Lawrenceville Language Department supports students as they become citizens of the global community: the curriculum is designed to develop capacities to understand other cultures and peoples through the beauty and power of their languages.

Typical responsibilities include the following:

Teach two to three sections per trimester.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in French, with the ability to teach French.
Ability to teach all levels, introductory to honors (college-level).
Demonstrated success planning and facilitating collaborative, student-centered classes.
At least two years of high school teaching experience.
A passion for teaching the French language.
A passion for working with high school-age students.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication (oral and written) abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently, as needed and appropriate.
Demonstrated success with the effective incorporation of technology in the learning process, including language labs.
Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Google suite and Microsoft Office suite.
