With a close-knit student body of under 100 students, Holy Spirit Catholic School offers a supportive, family-oriented community rooted in the Catholic faith and academic excellence. Teachers have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of students and their families. We have multiple openings and would consider hiring a group of teachers who are looking to start their careers in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. Part-time positions may be combined into a full-time teaching position. We can offer low rent on our five-bedroom rectory, located adjacent to St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, as a benefit.

Pay: $18-20/hour

Teaching Certificate: Completed or in the process of obtaining

Experience: Preferred

Practicing Catholic: Necessary, with a strong knowledge of Catholic doctrine/traditions

Qualifications-Ability to:

Teach religion classes to students in grades K-5 and possibly 6-8

Create lesson plans that reflect Catholic doctrine and integrate Scripture, prayer, and liturgical celebrations.

Promote a classroom environment that encourages faith formation, compassion, and respect.

Collaborate with other staff to support the spiritual life of the school, including participation in Mass, service projects, and sacramental preparation.
