Summary

We're a locally-owned daycare center that believes in providing a safe, caring, and home-like environment for children ages 0-7. Our team is like family, and we treat every child as if they were our own. We value laughter, muddy boots, story time, and the little everyday moments that make childhood special.

Duties

With the help of a supportive team, you will be responsible for creating a warm, welcoming space for our children.
  • Lead and assist in daily routines that include small groups, meal times, circle time, outside exploration, and playtime.
  • Encourage learning through age-appropriate lessons following the Missouri Early Learning Standards and our Experience Curriculum.
  • Help children develop social and emotional skills with gentle guidance and care.
  • Communicate with parents in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Keep up with daily notes, child observations, and records in a timely and organized way.
  • Implement quality sanitation procedures to ensure the health and safety of all staff and children.


Requirements

Experience in early childhood is beneficial, but we are willing to train the right person!
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification - Can be completed after hire date.
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening, including TB test.
  • Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
  • A specific vision ability will be required, including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Shift is flexible between the hours of 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
