Outagamie County Early Childhood Substitute Teacher

We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and flexible Early Childhood Substitute Teachers to join our team in Outagamie County, Wisconsin. This position is a grant funded position until December 2026, others opportunities may be available but are not guaranteed. As a substitute teacher, you will provide care and educational support to young children in various early childhood settings, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities:
* Implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum that promote children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development as directed by child care program.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
* Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
* Ensure that all state licensing requirements and agency policies are followed.
* Assist with meal times, diapering, toileting, and other basic care needs.
* Communicate effectively with the regular teaching staff regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
* Adapt to different classroom settings and age groups as needed.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
* Experience working with young children, particularly in a licensed early childhood setting.
* CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
* Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and schedules.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift and carry children up to 40 pounds.
* Ability to stand, sit on the floor, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
* Comfortable with frequent bending, kneeling, and getting up and down from the floor.
Work Schedule:
* Monday through Friday 8 am-4:30pm
* Flexibility to work in different locations within Outagamie County.
