On-Call Substitute Teacher -  Bishop Blanchet High School Reports to Subbing Coordinator Mission Statement: Bishop Blanchet is a Catholic, college preparatory high school established by the Archbishop of Seattle. Position Overview: This is a per diem teaching position.  Responsibilities will include following assigned lesson plans provided by the educator requesting a substitute as well as classroom management. Qualifications: B.A. (or higher) in education or related field.
Current Washington State Teaching Certificate (or the ability to obtain certificate) preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates with successful high school teaching experience.
Salary: The rate is $30/hr when individual is engaged in classroom teaching.  BBHS operates on a block schedule where there are typically up to 4 classroom teaching sessions available per day to be scheduled.  During block schedule, each class is typically 90 minutes long.  Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
