Superior Hospice is a newly established and forward-thinking hospice agency committed to delivering heartfelt, person-centered care at the end of life. We are actively building our founding team of Volunteer Musicians who believe in the comfort and connection that music can provide to individuals during life’s final chapter.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out:
Comprehensive Training: Learn about hospice philosophy and care through structured training sessions – no prior hospice experience required.
Purpose and Perspective: Gain deep insight into life, death, and human connection while making a meaningful impact.
Flexibility with Heart: Fit volunteering into your schedule while doing something truly meaningful.
Be a Founding Voice: Help shape a culture of creativity, compassion, and dignity at one of Minnesota’s most exciting new hospice programs.
What You’ll Do:
Create Moments of Comfort: Use voice or instruments to soothe, inspire, or simply accompany patients during their hospice journey.
Offer Support Through Song: Perform calming or uplifting music based on each patient’s preferences – from bedside lullabies to classical tunes or familiar favorites.
Participate in Care Planning: Collaborate with staff to align music with patient goals and overall care.
Document Visits: Log patient responses and session notes for continuity and insight.
Show Up with Heart: Provide emotional and spiritual comfort through music to patients and families, especially during quiet or reflective moments.
What We’re Looking For:
A deep love for music and belief in its power to heal
Warm communication skills and a desire to connect
Comfort in supporting those facing the end of life
Ability to travel within a 35-mile radius across the metro
Experience with hospice or therapeutic music a plus—but we welcome learners with passion
If you’re ready to use your musical gifts to bring beauty and comfort to those in their final days, we’d love for you to join our compassionate community. Let your talent make a lasting impact with Superior Hospice.
