About the Role

Music and Performing Arts Teachers at Chesterbrook Academy play a key role in enriching our students’ academic journey by fostering a love of music and the performing arts. Working with students from Pre-K through 8th grade, you will create and implement a vibrant arts curriculum that includes vocal and instrumental music, movement, drama, and performance. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a dynamic program that emphasizes creativity, confidence, collaboration, and cultural appreciation.
You will also…
Develop and deliver engaging lessons in general music, vocal/instrumental instruction, and performing arts tailored to developmental stages
Organize school-wide performances, showcases, and community events that highlight student growth and achievement
Collaborate with teachers across grade levels to integrate performing arts with other areas of the curriculum
Build positive relationships with students, families, and the school community to support student development
Maintain classroom environments and resources that are safe, inclusive, and supportive of artistic expression

What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Performing Arts, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Demonstrated experience in teaching music and/or theater in a PK–8 or K–12 school setting
Ability to direct musical ensembles, choirs, or theatrical productions
Strong communication and classroom management skills Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for working with young learners
Ability to successfully pass a state and federal background check
