Music Teacher

The Lake Shore Central School District is seeking qualified candidates for the following position: Music Teacher (K-12)- Instrumental/Band and/or Elementary General Music Position. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated K-12 Music Education Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will hold current certification in K-12 Music Education and demonstrate a proven ability to work effectively across diverse classroom and instrumental settings. A strong understanding of, and commitment to, the New York State Learning Standards for the Arts is essential.

Salary: Per LSCTA Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction in accordance with curriculum goals and NYS Standards
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials that foster creativity, skill development, and musical appreciation
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents
• Direct and support instrumental and/or vocal ensembles as assigned
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student growth
• Plan and direct performances, concerts, and other school music events
• Fulfill supervisory and instructional duties consistent with the role of a teacher

Qualifications:

• Current New York State certification in K-12 Music Education
• Experience in both classroom and instrumental music instruction
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to inspire a love of music in students of all ages and abilities
