We are looking for a *music teacher* who is fun, energetic, creative, punctual, organized, personable, loves to work with children and youth, is stable and DRAMA FREE!

The schedule for the Music Enrichment Program is:

* *School Days:* Monday - Thursday (6 - 8 instructional hours/week)

*Position Overview*

The music teacher will plan and lead all music classes inspiring students and fostering a love for music. Music can involve singing, rhythm and small instruments. Students will have the opportunity to perform several times throughout the year for the school. This position requires the teacher to be proficient in music instruction as well as administration, organization, leadership, and classroom management.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Create and follow lesson plans * Teach all music classes * Classroom management of approximately 20 - 24 students * Function well within the structure of the school, Citi Christian Academy * Ensure student safety and supervision of students at all times * Participate in Staff development, weekly meetings and evaluations * Establish and maintain an environment of musical instruction and foster a love for music * Create an environment of emotional safety based on respect at all levels

*Requirements:*

* Bachelors preferred, OR equivalent experience in the field * Experience working with children and youth * Must pass a Level 2 Background Screening * Excellent organization, leadership and communication skills * Bilingual preferred (English - Spanish)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
