Description
At LifeChangers Academy, we are excited to announce an opportunity for a Lead Montessori Preschool Teacher to join our team. LifeChangers Academy is dedicated to fostering growth and innovation in education. As we transition into our first Emergent Montessori branch, we are committed to evolving our services to provide a more child-led experience. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who can guide us in this endeavor and contribute to our mission at LifeChangers Academy.
The Montessori teacher serves as the vital connection between the child and the prepared environment. They fulfill the dual roles of observer and experimenter, tailoring the environment to meet the childrens needs and interests. With respect for the childs autonomy and development, the Montessori teacher demonstrates a keen ability to discern when to intervene and when to allow space for independent exploration. They are a consistent model of desirable behavior, nurturing a culture of respect and responsibility.

Qualifications
Must hold Montessori credentials issued by a MACTE accredited program.
Must hold Montessori credentials for ages 3-6.
Must meet Nebraska DHHS childcare licensing requirements.
Must meet all Nebraska state preschool lead teacher requirements.
Language Skills: Must be fluent in English; bilingual/multilingual applicants are highly desirable!
Associates degree required or must be actively working towards attainment.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a lead role, implementing Montessori philosophy, curriculum, and techniques.
Elevated level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a flair for engaging children and adults.
Enthusiastic with a warm and nurturing demeanor.
Responsibilities
Create and implement unique, interesting lessons tailored to our Montessori curriculum.
Plan age appropriate monthly/seasonal curricula.
Work with students of varying abilities, including those with learning exceptionalities.
Attend meetings and center activities that support the children and families, such as open houses, parent teacher conferences, and parent education meetings.
Participate in professional development trainings.
Maintain student records, reports, evaluations, inventories, and tests.
Mentor and collaborate daily with support staff and provide direction for classroom maintenance, classroom management, and adherence to the Montessori method.
Observe and interpret the needs of the children.
Prepare the classroom environment daily to address the needs of the children.
Build and maintain positive relationships with families, ensuring strong community ties and open communication.
Maintain a nurturing and patient demeanor to facilitate a calm and positive atmosphere.
