Mission Montessori is seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher to join our Infant and Young Toddler Team , working Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with children ages 6-24 months .

Responsibilities

Engage children in lessons and activities that align with the Montessori philosophy. Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom that encourages exploration and independence. Support children's emotional, social, and cognitive growth through individualized attention. Provide attentive care for infants and toddlers, including diapering, food preparation, feeding, and all daily caretaking needs. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to deliver the highest quality of care. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that reflects Mission Montessori's values.

Requirements

12 College Units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (required) Experience working with young children (preferably infants and toddlers) Ability to lift children up to 30 lbs and move easily between floor and standing positions A genuine love for young children and a passion for early childhood education
