Moderate Special Education Teacher - Nessacus Regional Middle School

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Massachusetts teacher certification in Moderate Disabilities (all levels) preferred. Experience in instruction in compliance with individual education plans 5 - 12. Knowledge of Massachusetts Special Education regulations. Prior experience working with students with a range of disabilities including social/emotional, autism, learning disabilities and/or intellectual impairments. Experience implementing behavior support plans. Experience teaching middle school preferred. DUTIES: Plans learning activities to address individual differences among students. Implements strategies as outlined in individual program plans. Effectively collaborate with department and grade level teachers. Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations. Attend meetings and performs duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation. Works to foster relationships with related service providers, paraprofessionals and general ed teachers. Knowledgable about Massachusetts Curriculum Framework and Alternative Framework Assessments. Supports students in completion of statewide framework assessments. Performs other duties as assigned.

SALARY:
In accordance teachers' contract.
