Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners with Autism and cognitive differences? Join our dedicated special education team, where you'll work closely with a small group of students (approximately 7 per classroom) who need highly individualized support. This role focuses on helping children build foundational academic skills, independence in daily living, and confidence in social and emotional settings. Youll be surrounded by a strong team, including three paraprofessionals per classroom and related services staff to collaborate with. Were looking for someone who is flexible, creative, and committed to meeting each student where they areand guiding them forward. Key Responsibilities: Teach and support students using a whole-child approach across academic, functional, adaptive, and social-emotional areas. Create a welcoming, structured, and safe learning environment tailored to students with complex communication and cognitive needs. Design and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Work closely with families, therapists, and support staff to ensure student progress. Use hands-on activities, visual supports, and alternative communication strategies to enhance student engagement. Monitor growth and adapt instruction based on student response and data. Contribute to a team-oriented classroom culture that prioritizes kindness, equity, and growth. Who You Are: Youre a licensed Special Education Teacher in the state of Minnesota (required). You have experience or a strong interest in working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental disabilities. You understand the importance of structure, predictability, and positive relationships in a classroom setting. Youre confident writing IEPs and implementing them with fidelity and care. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and believe in the power of teamwork. Why Work With Us?
