The Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing 6th Grade Teacher committed to guiding students through the important transition from elementary to middle school. This pivotal role involves creating a supportive, engaging environment that cultivates academic curiosity, emotional growth, and independent learning skills, preparing students for continued success within a college preparatory environment at Menaul School.

Your Responsibilities: Foster a nurturing classroom environment emphasizing academic skills, organization, responsibility, and personal growth. Collaborate effectively with fellow educators to ensure a cohesive transition strategy and integrated curriculum. Communicate proactively with parents, providing insights into student development and strategies for success. Serve as an advisor and mentor, guiding students through academic, social, and emotional milestones. Participate actively in school events, contributing positively to the Menaul community.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required; Master's degree preferred. Experience teaching upper elementary or middle school students highly desirable, but enthusiastic educators are welcome to apply. Teaching certification or equivalent professional qualification preferred but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to student development. Passion for creating engaging educational experiences and a commitment to student success.
