Special Education Teacher
for a full-time onsite contract position in the
Cookeville, TN
area. This is a
middle school-level CDC classroom
teaching position, serving approximately
9 students
in
grades 68 , with the support of
two paraprofessional assistants . We are looking for an educator passionate about supporting students with special needs in a structured, inclusive environment. This opportunity offers

Onsite only Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to middle school students with a variety of needs in a CDC setting Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student goals Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families to ensure student progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and compliance requirements Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment Supervise and guide paraprofessionals in daily instructional support Requirements:
Valid Tennessee teaching license with
461 Special Education Endorsement Previous experience in a CDC or similar setting preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents Must pass background checks and meet all district onboarding requirements Benefits:
