Milford Public Schools is searching for a dynamic Spanish teacher beginning in August 2025. This teacher will engage middle school students in Spanish learning with a proficiency-based approach to language instruction and a focus on high-quality instruction.

Responsibilities Follow the scope and sequence of the instructional program as defined and approved by the district Manage the classroom and individual student behavior to maintain an advantageous learning environment Design and implement lessons aligned with the MPS Model for High Quality instruction and use assessments to refine curriculum and instructional practices Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages open communication between the teacher and learner Assist in the development of curriculum guides and collaborate on the selection of relevant resources and other educational materials to support the development of the MPS ASL program Participate in professional learning to improve instructional practice and positively affect student achievement Knowledge/Skills Experience with teaching in a multicultural environment Ability to work effectively with others Organizational and problem-solving skills Qualifications CT State Certification - Spanish, 4-12 (023) preferred Fluency in English and Spanish required
