Reports to: Eastside Connections Principal, Southside Principal and Ring Lardner Principal (or designee)
Niles Community Schools is looking for a dynamic Physical Education Teacher. Highly-effective communication skills and professionalism required for daily interaction with a diverse workforce, student population, building administration and community.
Required Qualifications:
- Certified to teach in the State of Michigan with a Physical Education (MB) or (MX) or Health and Physical Education (MC) endorsement
- K-5 All Subjects; K-8 All Subjects Self-Contained Classrooms (ZG) endorsement
Essential Duties (non-prioritized):
- Plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students on the subject matter, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Education, and other appropriate learning methods
- Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and
administrative regulations - Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group
instruction and varied teaching methods to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each
student - Other duties as assigned
