Position Details
Qualifications: Michigan Teaching Certificate, Endorsements in grade 6-8 preferred
Additional training/certification preferred in ELA or Math
Strong knowledge and abilities in research-based practices
Have knowledge and understanding of elementary/middle school curriculum
Have knowledge and understanding of the reading and/or mathematics and/or writing process
Have knowledge of push in and pull out model
Have knowledge and understanding of reading assessments
Ability to plan small group lessons that address struggling students needs based on teacher/administrator direction
Ability to create lessons that are tactile, visual and brain based
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and administrators
Strong organizational skills
Must be able to meet ESEA/No Child Left Behind Highly Qualified requirements Pursuant with State of Michigan Student Safety Legislation, all prospective hires must provide fingerprinting and background check results to the District prior to employment.
