ELEMENTARY EDUCATION LICENSURE Candidates must hold and be HQ in the Elementary K-6 (025) license area. Non-licensed, residency licensure candidates are eligible based upon holding a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 2.7 GPA, and 24 semester hours of related courses; OR passing scores on the Pearson Foundations of Reading test AND either the Praxis 7813 Math test or the Math subtest of the Pearson General Curriculum test. Examples of related courses include: Birth-Kindergarten, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, English/Language Arts, Family Studies, Mathematics, Psychology, Reading, Sciences, Social Studies, Sociology Eligibility for the residency entry license must be established prior to a contract offer.
