General Responsibilities:
The Mathematics Teacher at Martin Luther School (MLS) is responsible for designing and delivering student-centered learning in high school math content. The focus of the position is to provide direct instruction to students to help them learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their social, emotional, and academic development.
Key Responsibilities : Plan and teach Mathematics courses in grades 9 - 12 Build motivation and interest in learning Prepare effectively for class and provide documentation of students’ progress. Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to use research-based practices Develop an environment that supports student learning Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree. Content area teaching certificate. Special education certificate. Top Skill(s): Knowledge of the concepts, principal, and methodologies of high school social studies instruction. Proficient interpersonal relations and communication Ability to participate in physical restraint of children Proficient PC skills, including Google Classroom, Documents, Sheets, and Slides. Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a school setting.
