Date Available: 10/07/2025 Description: LTS Music Teacher Akin Road Elementary 10.6.25 to 1.30.26 40 hours per week

Description: To develop in each pupil an appreciation of the art of music as part of general culture; to teach techniques of music expression; to discover and develop talents of pupils in the field of music; to develop knowledge and skills in listening to and reading music.

Qualifications: MN Music Certification. Prefer at least 1-3 years of teaching experience. Must possess a strong foundation in music. Prefer Kodaly and/or Orff Certification.

Responsibilities of the Music Specialist include but are not limited to: Selects appropriate music, books and instructional material to enhance learning and requisitions instructional supplies as necessary. Coordinate musical programs for school assemblies, open house, parent meetings and seasonal programs. May supervise other staff or volunteers as directed. Participate in staff development as appropriate. Performs other responsibilities as directed or needed to accomplish the objectives of the total school program.
