We are actively seeking a passionate, certified Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join a dedicated school team in New Orleans, LA for the upcoming 20252026 academic year. This full-time, on-site role will support a diverse K12 caseload and offers a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of students with exceptional learning needs.

The ideal candidate brings expertise in individualized instruction, strong collaboration skills, and a deep commitment to inclusive education. Youll work closely with general education staff, families, and related service providers to help students succeed both academically and personally. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and evaluate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student strengths, challenges, and goals Deliver specially designed instruction across academic subjects, adapted to varied learning styles and disability types Provide accommodations, modifications, and behavioral support based on student needs Collaborate actively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed Lead and participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and school-wide planning efforts Maintain full compliance with IDEA, Louisiana Department of Education regulations, and district-specific policies Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field Active Louisiana teaching license with Special Education endorsement (mild/moderate or moderate/severe) or eligibility to obtain Experience teaching students with disabilities in inclusive or self-contained settings preferred Skilled in differentiating instruction and implementing behavior intervention strategies Strong written and verbal communication abilities Dedicated to fostering student growth, equity, and inclusive practices Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly pay: $45$50, based on experience Weekly direct deposit Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Professional development and continuing education support Direct access to your own Blazer Jobs Recruiting Advisor for ongoing guidance Interested applicants are encouraged to apply with an up-to-date resume.
