Terms: Long-term Substitute Teacher for 12 weeks with an opportunity
Reports to: High School Principal
Compendation: Up to $50 per hour, depending on experience and qualification

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Long-Term Substitute High School Math Teacher to join our team. In this role, you’ll guide students through Algebra and other high school math content, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and confidence in mathematics.

What You’ll Do
Teach math content effectively to all high school students, with a focus on Algebra (AP Calculus experience a plus)
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning styles and abilities
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
Differentiate instruction for students with varied learning needs, including those in inclusive settings
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators regarding student progress and classroom activities
Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
Support students academically, socially, and emotionally through a small group advisory program
Take necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of students and school resources
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high standard of educational excellence
What We’re Looking For
Valid Delaware Teaching License in Mathematics or enrollment in a DOE-approved ARTC program
Successful completion of Praxis II exams
Mathematics certification required; AP Calculus experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and equitable learning environment

Negative Tuberculin Test
