Job Title: Long-Term RSP Teacher (K–6) – In-Person | Santa Rosa, CA Position Type: Full-time | Long-Term Substitute | On-site Only Compensation: $45 per hour Assignment Duration: August 6 – December 5 Schedule: Hours per Day: 6.5
Days per Week: Monday through Friday
Grade Level: Kindergarten through 6th Grade Caseload Size: Approximately 24 students Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resource Specialist Program (RSP) Teacher to provide specialized academic instruction and support to students with mild learning disabilities. This is a long-term substitute position covering a maternity leave, and it requires full in-person availability. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction based on students’ IEP goals, with a focus on reading development.
Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress.
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in alignment with IEP requirements.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for each student.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements: Valid Special Education Teaching Credential (mild/moderate support needs preferred)
Previous experience working with elementary-aged students
Strong understanding of IEPs and the special education process
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must be comfortable working on-site daily
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Resource Specialist role
Familiarity with reading intervention strategies
