Overview MMI Preparatory School in Freeland, PA, seeks a long term substitute middle school math teacher for the school year.

Duties Responsible for teaching 7th grade math and 8th grade pre-algebra. Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a respectful and productive learning environment. Communicate clearly with students, providing guidance and support as needed. Engage students in various educational activities, including group work and individual assignments. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them achieve their academic goals. Assist with administrative tasks such as taking attendance and reporting on student behavior. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students in the classroom.

Requirements Bachelors degree required. Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents. Familiarity with lesson planning and behavior management techniques. Ability to tutor students in subjects such as math or other academic areas as needed. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt in various classroom settings. Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150.00 - $151.00 per day

Schedule: Monday to Friday
