Location: Mooseheart, IL (38 miles west of Chicago) Hiring: Individuals & Married Couples About the Role As a Family Teacher , you'll provide direct care for at-risk youth in a safe, supportive, and family-style living environment. You'll teach life skills, model healthy relationships, and guide youth through personal and behavioral challenges - giving them a positive second chance and introducing them to new opportunities. What you'll do: Use rational problem-solving techniques to teach critical thinking skills

Help youth manage behavioral and emotional challenges

Create a home filled with structure, warmth, and support

Plan family meals, recreational activities, outings, and enrichment opportunities

Collaborate closely with other Mooseheart staff and dedicated caregivers

Manage household tasks: budgeting, shopping, scheduling medical appointments, and driving to activities

Work Schedule Live-in, rotating schedule: ✅ 5 days on, 2 days off (with an extra day off every 4 weeks) Typical day: Mornings: Prepare youth for school

School hours: Attend meetings, complete paperwork, training, personal time

Afternoons & evenings: Supervise homework, dinner, family time, teach life skills, and relax together

Weekends & summers: Plan and join recreational activities, outings, and enrichment programs

Pay & Perks Competitive salary: $43,500-$45,000
