Summary

Cornerstone Early Learning Center is looking for an experienced classroom teacher, to work in a 2 year old classroom as a Lead Teacher. Applicant must be able to create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans, maintain a safe and nurturing environment as well as be able to develop a partnership with parents to best serve the children's needs.

Duties

• Follow Policies and Procedures set out by CELC
• Develop and implement daily activities that are suitable for two year olds
• Maintain a consistent daily schedule
• Be able to navigate on our online daily tracking site.
• Maintain a clean and safe classroom
• Help children with transitioning into potty training
• Establish and maintain daily communication with parents
• Be able to patiently and effectively deal with children's emotions and behaviors

Requirements

• Must be able to work 35 to 40 hours per week
• CDA or at least 2 years experience of working in a center based childcare center
• Must have prior center-based experience working with young children
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills to be able to maintain open communication with children, families and co-workers
• Must have knowledge of preparing developmentally appropriate activities for 2 year old children

Nice To Haves

• First Aid and CPR certification
• Already in the BCIS system for background checks/fingerprints
• Experience using an online daily tracking system such as Brightwheel
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
