We are looking for two dedicated, seasoned professionals interested in creating a welcoming, loving classroom environment for children age 10 months to 24 months. Our classes are designed for teachers to co-lead. Lesson planning and classroom responsibilities are shared between co-teachers. This allows for better consistency in the implementation of the curriculum as well as a supportive collaborative environment for our staff. Teachers are encouraged to use their experience, education, and creativity to create a hands-on play-based curriculum for their students.

We are looking for fun and energetic Teachers for the Goddard School in Tysons, Virginia. Duties of Lead Teachers include:

  • Meeting the individual needs of the children
  • Lesson Planning
  • Communication with parents
  • Participation in staff and training meetings
  • Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
  • Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
  • Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.

Job Requirements:

  • Professional & Kind Attitude
  • 1 Year prior classroom experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Lead teacher requirements as outlined by the Department of Education of Virginia
  • Preferred: CDA, associate degree, bachelor's degree, master's degree

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $23.70 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
