Job Title: Play, Do, Learn Lead Teacher
Reports To: PDL Preschool Manager
Department: Children’s Services
Job Purposes (or description): The Lead Teacher is responsible for implementing classroom activities, providing a safe learning environment and maintaining classroom routine. This individual must display a love for teaching and nurturing young children.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans and implements daily activities (utilizing curriculum) in the areas of cognitive, speech and language, fine motor, gross motor, self-help, social emotional and behavior management
Participates in the documentation of the child’s skills in relation to the IFSP goals
Maintains a safe, clean, sanitary environment
Completes all documentation and complies with all policies and procedures of TEIS, SRVS and SRVS Kids
Trains, supervises and encourages PDL Teaching Assistants
Delegates responsibilities to PDL Teaching Assistants
Communicates effectively and empathetically with parents and caregivers
Provide a positive, nurturing environment for all children
Attend All-Staff and PD&L meetings and works cooperatively with all team members
Serves as an advocate for SRVS Kids and our families
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood, Special Education, or related field; knowledge of early childhood development; an understanding of children’s developmental milestones; and a minimum of one-year experience caring for one or more young children.
A Bachelor's degree is required (No exceptions).

Physical Requirements:
- The Lead Teacher will be required to lift children as needed.
Hourly Pay: $20.05
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8a-2:30p, Friday 8a-12p (Full-time)
