At the Goddard School in Silver Spring, we are a team of professionals who are committed to providing our students and their families a high quality, comprehensive educational program in a warm and loving environment.
Students participate in daily lessons in Language Arts, Cognitive Development, Science, Social Sciences, Art, Music, Motor Skills, and Technology. Our faculty help our students to work on average about a year ahead of expectation for their age; our PreK students are doing Kindergarten level work including Guided Reading, STEM projects, and among others. Our success as a school is the result of having a superior teaching and administrative team and we are looking for the best candidates to join our team!
We are looking for people who truly enjoy and appreciate children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old and have good verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities Provide a warm, safe, and supportive classroom setting.
Manage classroom activities and ensure effective classroom management.
Utilize early childhood education principles to create a nurturing learning environment.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Implement behavior management strategies to support student learning and development.
Engage young learners in educational activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and teaching strategies.
Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs of young students.
Utilize communication skills to effectively convey educational concepts to students.
Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education (or related fields) required for Lead Teaching positions
Teaching experience is preferred
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
