We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are actively seeking an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher for our Clarkston early learning center.

POSITION DETAILS:

Regular, full-time
Day shift, Monday -Friday
Standard hours, 8am-5pm
Starting rate: $14 - $19 per hour, based on education and experience
Location, Clarkston, MI
Desired start: Monday August 4, 2025
NOTE: This position does not qualify for US Visa sponsorship or relocation

REQUIREMENTS:

At minimum, you must possess a CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or be working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field.
Bachelor's or associate degree in early childhood education, child development or child-related field preferred
Minimum of one year experience in ECE in a Preschool classroom required
CPR Certification
Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Child Care Licensing guidelines for ECE Teachers
Ability to pass a criminal background screening (fingerprinting)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
As the Lead Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in the development and well-being of our students; creating a warm, engaging and safe environment for them to learn and thrive. You will lead the day-to-day activities and have the support and collaboration of an assistant teacher to provide the best possible learning experience and care for children 3-4 years of age utilizing the High Scope curriculum.

Ensures overall safety of children
Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student's needs and interests
Implement HighScope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
Conduct Parent Teacher conferences
Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
Attend Heartfelt Impressions company/school meetings
Partner with parents and assist students regarding "Toilet Learning" approaches
Participate in snack and meal service Family Style Dining
Ensure cleaning tasks are completed
Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate
