The Goddard School® located in Alpharetta, GA 30022 is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Older Toddler Teacher to join our exceptional teaching team. This classroom focuses on children aged 15 to 24 months , a crucial stage where toddlers begin to assert independence, build vocabulary, and explore the world through movement and play.

Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum and Instruction
Implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans using our exclusive Wonder of Learning® curriculum, designed to foster curiosity, exploration, and early skill-building.
Classroom Management
Create and maintain a structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment tailored to support toddlers through important developmental milestones like walking, talking, and social interaction.
Family Communication
Build strong, respectful partnerships with families through regular, clear communication about daily routines, progress, and developmental updates.
Health and Safety
Ensure a safe classroom environment by adhering to all licensing regulations and safety protocols during feeding, diapering, indoor and outdoor activities, and transitions.
Assessment and Documentation
Observe, assess, and document each child’s growth and development, using those insights to tailor learning experiences and communicate with families.
Professional Development
Actively participate in ongoing training and professional growth opportunities to stay current with best practices in toddler development and care.
Team Collaboration
Support and collaborate with Assistant and Resource Teachers to create a consistent, joyful, and engaging classroom experience.
Behavior Guidance
Use positive and developmentally appropriate guidance strategies to support emotional regulation, peer relationships, and social-emotional growth.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred
1–2 years of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
Completion of state-required pre-service training
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and colleagues
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed for child care responsibilities
