Kids Adventures Academy for Early Learning is seeking a *full-time Lead Infant Teacher* to join our team at our infant program located inside *Wayside Elementary School* in Potomac, MD.
We are looking for responsible, creative, and highly motivated individuals who are passionate about working with young children. The ideal candidate is *energetic, reliable, and committed* to providing engaging and developmentally appropriate experiences for infants and toddlers.
*Position Requirements:*
* Minimum *1 year of teaching or childcare experience* * Must hold or be willing to earn the following required certifications: * *90-hour Infant/Toddler Certificate* * *ADA Certificate* * *Basic Health & Safety* * *9-hour Communication* * *CPR and First Aid* * *Medication Administration* (preferred, not required)
_Note: Candidates must be open to taking additional trainings and earning certifications required by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Office of Child Care._
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Plan and implement activities aligned with the *Creative Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers* * Promote a fun, safe, and nurturing learning environment * Support the intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child * Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members * Communicate effectively with families regarding child development and daily updates * Maintain health and safety standards at all times * Support emergent literacy skills through guided reading activities (training provided) * Collaborate with colleagues in a professional, team-oriented environment
*Program Details:*
* Serving children ages *6 weeks to 5 years* * Open *Monday-Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm* * Open on select MCPS holidays and half-days * Participates in *Maryland EXCELS* and *Maryland Accreditation*
