Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum and Instruction Implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using our exclusive Wonder of Learning curriculum to support each infant's cognitive, physical, and emotional development.
  • Classroom Management Create and maintain a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom environment that supports exploration and comfort for infants as young as 6 weeks old.
  • Family Communication Establish and maintain open, positive communication with families, sharing updates on daily routines, developmental milestones, and care needs.
  • Health and Safety Ensure the health, hygiene, and safety of each infant by following all licensing regulations, including diapering, feeding, napping, and supervising indoor/outdoor activities.
  • Assessment and Documentation Observe, assess, and document each child's developmental progress and share insights with families and leadership.
  • Professional Development Participate in ongoing training and development to continually improve teaching strategies and child care practices.
  • Team Collaboration Work closely with Assistant Teachers and support staff to ensure a consistent and caring classroom experience.
  • Behavior Guidance Promote positive behavior through gentle, developmentally appropriate guidance and responsive caregiving.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred
  • 12 years of experience working with infants or young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
  • Must have completed all state-required pre-service training
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working with babies and families
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the care of young children
