Summary
Qualifications
Must be able to pass background check; follow rules, regulations
and company procedures; be 18 years of age;
The ideal candidate for this position must have one of the
following valid and current certificates or credentials from a
nationally or
state recognized institution approved by Bright from the Start:
Georgia Teacher Certificate issued by the Professional Standards
Commission (PSC) in Early Childhood Education, Birth through
Five endorsement,
Special Education General Curriculum Consultative/ECE or
out-of-state, valid,
and current official teaching certificates in Early Childhood or
Elementary
Education
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or Elementary Education or
related field
Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid Georgia
Teaching Certificate or higher.
CPR and 1st Aid Certifications (or willingness to obtain these)
Must maintain state in-service training requirements and GA
Pre-K Training requirements.
Positive and cheerful
Dependable - more reliable than spontaneous
People- Oriented - enjoys interacting with people and working on
group projects.
Duties
The GA Pre-K Lead Teacher is responsible for general classroom management and supervision.
Responsible for the personal care, hygiene, and positive
discipline of the children and will help maintain classroom
records,
cleanliness, and orderliness.
Planning and implementing activities designed to promote social,
physical, emotional and intellectual growth needed in children.
Communicating with parents about progress
Notifying Director or parents about potential issues
Requirements
Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience.
21 years of age or older. Exception: Lead teachers who have a valid bachelor's degree or higher teaching credential do not have to meet the minimum 21 years of age requirement.
Must be able to meet state background check requirements.

Benefits
Salary is based on Georgia Pre-k 2025-2026 Reimbursement Rates
Ranges from $26,449 - $45,343+ experience compensation up to
$15,000/yr depending upon Credentials paid over 10 months

- Four Year Degree
- Four Year Degree and T4 Certification
- Master's Degree and T5 Certification
