: Classroom Teacher NOTE: only those with a Students with Disabilities Birth - Grade 2 or Permanent Teacher of Special Education teaching certificates in the state of New York need apply. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Classroom Teacher to join our team and make a profound impact on the lives of children with special needs. As a Classroom Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. Responsibilities and Duties: - Ensure compliance with EI regulations by completing all required documentation, including EI session notes and quarterly reports, justification letters, and child outcome summary exit forms - Conduct assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of each child's unique needs and abilities. - Develop and implement personalized educational programs that address the specific goals and challenges of each student. - Lead engaging and interactive group activities that promote active learning and foster social interaction among students. - Collaborate with a team of professionals, including related services providers, staff, and parents, to ensure a holistic and individualized approach to education. - Monitor and track student progress, collecting data and maintaining accurate records to inform instructional decisions and interventions. - Provide ongoing support and guidance to teaching assistants, registered behavior techs and support staff, fostering a collaborative and cohesive team environment. - Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes a sense of belonging and encourages student growth and development. - Maintain open and effective communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in the educational process. Requirements: Must have either Student with Disabilities (Birth to Grade 2) Professional or Initial OR Teacher of Special Education (Permanent). All others need not apply - Possess a strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and methodologies. - Have experience working with children with special needs, preferably in a classroom setting. - Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. - Show a genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their overall well-being and success.
