We're now hiring Lead After School Teachers who are caring, dependable, and energetic to join our mission and help children end their school day with joy, fun, and a sense of safety and belonging.
About the Role
This isn't just another after-school gig; it's a chance to be a mentor, a role model, and a trusted guide during a meaningful part of each child's day. After a long day at school, children need a safe place to relax, laugh, and feel seen. You'll help create that space. Our teachers are empowered to shape their classroom experience, and we'll give you the tools, support, and encouragement to thrive . (Mini bus driving will be required for picking the students up from school)

Responsibilities
Lead fun and enriching activities that promote physical, mental, and social development Build respectful, Christlike relationships with each child through kindness, consistency, and care Support a structured and nurturing environment with clear behavioral expectations Encourage learning through play, exploration, and hands-on creativity Adapt to the needs and interests of children with grace and flexibility Greet and transition children warmly into the after-school setting Ensure age-appropriate care Occasionally participate in field trips and special events Who You Are You love working with kids and know how to connect with them on their level You're dependable, energetic, and full of heart You may have experience with children K-5 or want to become a public school teacher You have a personal relationship with Jesus and want to live out your faith through service You're ready to create a space where children feel safe, loved, and excited to return Schedule & Requirements Full Time or Part-Time Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:30-6:30 PM or 10:00-6:30 PM Occasional extended hours may be needed to support the school's needs Full-time opportunities are available if you're looking for more! Minimal travel may be required for training and professional development Physical Requirements Able to frequently sit, lift/move up to 10 lbs, and occasionally up to 40 lbs May need to kneel, crouch, or crawl in classroom environments Must have adequate vision to monitor children's safety at all times Ready to shape lives and grow in your calling? Requirements
Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Meet HHS minimum education and experience requirements Will be responsible for transporting children, a Class C driver's license with a clear Department of Public Safety record and two hours of transportation training annually. Preferred Education and Experience Prior teaching experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications Meet the minimum age, education, background check, and medical qualifications for caregivers established by DFPS Licensing Complete annual training required by DFPS Licensing Maintain Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certifications
