Kindergarten Teacher

New Yesterday

Jubilee has an opening for an experienced elementary school teacher who loves teaching, respects the voices and ideas of students, and is willing to learn with and from their students.
Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.
Our class sizes are intentionally small with about 10 to 12 students per class. The ideal candidate can meet students where they are and tailor learning to fit their unique needs and strengths through hands on and project based learning.
Jubilee Schools has a strong focus on the arts and social justice, and our students accomplish great things. They have organized campaigns against gun violence and police brutality, presented their children's campaign at a United Nations Conference, and have written, illustrated and published 9 books. The atmosphere at Jubilee is collaborative, creative and celebratory.
Because our mission is to provide affordable education to all, regardless of income, our salary is lower than typical private school teacher salaries. However, certified teachers are eligible to earn $45/hour through Title I-funded tutoring at the school, which helps to fill the gap. Additional paid opportunities are available through our after-school and summer programs.
We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to student-centered learning, community engagement, and educational equity. If you're passionate about teaching and excited to be part of a small, mission-driven school with a strong sense of purpose, we invite you to apply!
