Qualifications: Possess or be eligible for a valid Michigan teaching certificate Minimum of BS/BA degree in Education; endorsements required Meet highly qualified requirements for elementary teacher Able to assess and document student progress Professional in personal conduct and actions Excellent communication skills Duties: Provide instruction to school children Provide and maintain an orderly classroom environment Monitor and document student progress through PowerSchool student management program Work independently and cooperatively in the teaching mode using a variety of instructional strategies Ability to plan and organize; good work habits Willing to attend conferences and participate in professional development Successful teaching/coaching of students preferred Perform other duties as assigned by administration Other qualifications as required by the Constantine Board of Education
