A small, safe learning community.
High teacher-to-student ratio with small class sizes. K-Grade 4 approx. 20 students & Grade 5-8 approx. 25 students per classroom.

Developing each student's language acquisition, literacy, and reading proficiency skills.
Building positive, respectful relationships between staff, students, families, and the community.

Partnering with Canisius University and other local organizations to support and enhance student learning.
Providing a robust Social Emotional Learning Program with a full-time School Social Worker and a full-time Art Therapist on staff.

What you'll be doing:
Demonstrates knowledge of and proficiency with subject matter
Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning
Plans and delivers instruction tailored to diverse learners
Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
Understands and uses assessment to promote student learning
Creates an environment that promotes respect, rapport, and learning
Establishes effective, positive relationships with students
Communicates effectively with families, students, and colleagues
Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills
Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with faculty, students, and parents
Collaborates with colleagues to provide effective instruction
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in education or a specific subject area
NYS Certification
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills, as well as the ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and learning needs
Ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure student success
