A special education teaching opportunity is available for a certified educator serving elementary students in grades K-5. This full school-year contract position begins August 18, 2025, and concludes June 16, 2026. Located in Maryland, the role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs, primarily including Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairments. Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students unique needs. Collaborating with general education teachers to integrate students effectively within the general classroom setting. Monitoring progress and adjusting strategies to foster academic and social growth. Maintaining clear, consistent communication with families and school staff. Qualifications: Certification as a Special Education Teacher. Experience working with elementary-age students (K-5) and knowledge of disabilities such as OHI, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairments. Ability to adapt instructional techniques to meet the needs of a fluid caseload, typically ranging from 10 to 15 students. Strong collaboration and communication skills. This position requires a commitment to working five days a week throughout the school year.
