POSITION: Elementary School Teacher LOCATION: East Leroy Elementary School REPORTS TO: Building Principal

SALARY: Per Athens Education Association Master Agreement

EFFECTIVE DATE: August 2025

Minimum Qualifications :

Possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Valid Michigan teaching certificate Certification in K-5 all subjects/K-8 Self-contained classroom Strong foundation in the essential instructional practices in literacy and mathematics Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Teach Athens Area Schools approved curriculum. Willing and able to deliver effective classroom instruction and management. Regularly assess and progress monitor students and utilize data to drive instruction Have a strong desire to work with elementary school-aged students and their parents. Be willing to participate in a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, including staff development and curriculum development. Be willing to work as part of a building team towards the improvement of instruction. Be open to continuous change. Be an excellent communicator with students, parents, and colleagues. Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. Perform other related duties as assigned.
