End Date: June 3, 2026 Position Type: Open to Full-Time (35 hours/week) or Part-Time Service Delivery: Onsite Only (no virtual service permitted for this role) Locations: Two school districts within reasonable travel distance (travel time compensated within hourly rate) Grade Levels: Pre-K through High School Job Description: Lincoln IU 12 is seeking a qualified Itinerant Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students across two school districts during the 20252026 school year. This is an onsite-only position serving students in multiple schools, with travel between districts included in the hourly compensation. The role may be filled as full-time or part-time, depending on candidate availability. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments in both academic and functional settings

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams

Deliver instruction in braille, assistive technology, and compensatory skills as needed

Serve students across all grade levels, from preschool to high school

Support a caseload that is primarily Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI)-focused, with some traditional vision and braille instruction

Travel between assigned school sites as required (mileage/time accounted for in hourly rate)

Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to ensure student access and success

Qualifications: Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired

Experience working with students with CVI and/or braille instruction preferred

Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills

Ability to work independently across multiple school environments

Reliable transportation required for travel between schools
